AI fight or Short Circuit?

The basement AI is the Work area’s fight-or-avoid boss. The alternative route uses an item from the office productivity chain rather than a dialogue answer.

Avoid the fight: Short Circuit

1. retrieve the transparent cup from the trash beside the dice-area entrance;
2. turn on the office water dispenser;
3. fill the cup before entering the AI core;
4. continue through the PC-box conversation;
5. move to the lower-left outlet before combat begins; and
6. use the filled cup on the outlet.

That interaction completes the Short Circuit avoidance outcome.

Ordinary fight

Allowing the encounter to enter combat is a separate route. This page does not substitute the water interaction for a complete ordinary AI battle guide. Create a save before entering the core if you want to compare both outcomes.

Work-area preparation
