Where to find the Broken Phone

The Broken Phone is buried behind a separate beach constellation. Go to the beach at night, use the telescope, connect the stars, and then search for the spawned phone with the metal detector.

Release scope: Full release only. This item and constellation are not part of the standalone demo.

What you need

• the telescope;
• the metal detector;
• access to the Timesville beach; and
• a night sky state.

Get the Broken Phone

1. Wait until Timesville is in a night state.
2. Go to the beach and use the telescope there.
3. Find the constellation visible from the beach and connect its stars.
4. Leave the telescope view and equip the metal detector.
5. Sweep the beach in overlapping passes until the detector identifies the buried pickup.
6. Collect the item at the detector hotspot to receive the Broken Phone.

The beach constellation is separate from the locked-shed telescope puzzle and the optional graveyard observation. If you see the shed puzzle or are standing in the graveyard, move back to the beach before trying again.

What the phone does

The Broken Phone is a one-use trigger for a secret fight and disappears after that trigger. Once it is in your inventory, this location task is complete.
