Toy saw or real saw?

The late-game purpose of the toy saw and real saw.

Table of contents

The toy saw and real saw are late-game choice items obtained from the black box in the Timesville shed. They select different outcomes at the final toilet-person decision.

Release scope: Full release only. The saw choice is not part of the standalone demo.

Get both saws

Complete the Timesville progression that opens the shed and reach the black box. Collect both the toy saw and the real saw before leaving the route.

These items are easy to treat as interchangeable because they share a shape. Their late-game purpose is different.

Choose the ending item

  • Toy saw: use it for Ending A, associated with Escape.
  • Real saw: use it for Ending B, associated with Return.

Make a separate save before the final decision if you want to see both branches without replaying the preceding areas.

The Ending A and B guide covers the pickup and choice in a shorter step list.

What the choice does not decide

The saw selection does not establish which outcome is canonical or morally correct. Ending C uses a different preparation path built around one hidden route in each major world.

Use the endings overview to compare the three full-release structures without mixing the branches together.
