Fishing Paper and Lost Key explained
How the Fishing Paper turns a collection task into a Timesville secret key.
Table of contents
The Fishing Paper turns Timesville’s fishing collection into a secret-item chain. Completing the paper reveals the Lost Key, which is used after the two-rooms puzzle.
Release scope: Full release only. The Fishing Paper and Lost Key are not part of the standalone demo.
Complete the Fishing Paper
Find the paper with the metal detector, then catch all 18 unique fish across:
- Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3; and
- Night 1, Night 2, and Night 3.
The paper is not complete merely because you have caught many fish. Each of the six states has its own three-entry set.
Use the all 18 fish checklist to identify the missing state.
Reveal the Lost Key
Inspect the finished Fishing Paper in your inventory after every entry is filled. Collect the Lost Key it reveals.
If no key appears, verify the paper itself rather than relying only on the achievement notification.
Use the key
Complete the normal two-rooms puzzle, return to the smaller room, wait for the reversed window message, and switch the game to windowed mode. Re-enter if necessary. The black window becomes a large lock.
Use the Lost Key on that lock. The key is consumed when the hidden route opens.
Follow the complete Lost Key solution for the display-mode troubleshooting. Finish the chain before the Chameleon route closes the opportunity.
